Extreme drought – water is 5-10m below normal at
lake Predel

The weekend before I went to Molltal headed off to a interesting start. A run around the country to get the mentioned MIDI controller for my audio upgrades from Gornja Radgona. That trip turned into a nice little surprise as I met Sašo  who, next to making music, runs a nice little printshop there so if you need any of your pics in poster size on any kind of surface in super DPI, thats the place to get them :).

So I made my round from Ljubljana to Maribor, Gornja Radgona and then… Bovec. At the beginning I was kinda reluctant to be honest, as I was running around the whole week from physiotherapy, work up and down the country and I thought some downtime would be nice. But I couldn’t possibly miss Petras birthday 😛
Playing Wiking games.. they used to behead you when you
missed 😛
And it turned out to be just the downtime I needed. Good friends, perfect weather, lots of sun and even Wiking drinking games and some Slackline action 😛 Petra and Rok, as usual :P, served up the best and most healthy foods next to some good barbecue. We also found a few really nice secluded places next to the apartment, that itself is one of the more misty places in Slovenia. I also made a nice little day to night timeleapse that you can enjoy 🙂
Less day and more night XD.. it`s not much but hej i`m not the timeleapse guy XD
On the way back we also stoped at the Predel lake on the other side of the connecting mountainpass. And boy is there a drought in our Suthern Alps. The lake is 7-10m below normal water level.  It hasn`t rained for weeks and the snow that is still on the peaks does not leave much water to hope for. Lets hope that the april percipitation improves the situation.. otherwise there will be a lot of fires and no green on the mountains.

And here a few nice nature shots of the area 😛 and Bolha the mountain dog XD
