Cablekrk – The destination for ridding urself of a hangover

Well as I wrote in the last blog entry I had to face a difficult dilemma. Since I had a free ticket for Stubai I only needed to move 400 km for some snow. That itself would have been doable… but not a very smart thing after a 2 day party marathon. 

But luckily for me another option presented itself. As it turned out I wasn`t the only one looking for travel company at the Kilaskute party. My friend Naja Puhan, hands down the best Slovenian female wake-boarder,  had a interesting preposition for me … why not go to Krk to the wake-lift. Since I still had around 20 laps left on one of last years tickets and  my surfboard had been on the dry since September… the idea sounded mighty convenient so after not all to much thinking we were agreed.  Davor and Naja would pick me up at 8 am at the morrow and we would see if my surfboard could fit in the car 😛 

It did and so we headed off to Krk. After two hours we arrived and I was totally done for. I needed to rest after the first 3 laps… so I decided to take it slow. Since my surgery my fitness had suffered and so had my stamina. I did want to ride a few rounds with the wake-skate but when I finally came to it in the afternoon I wasn`t even capable of taking off 😛 And then at my last lap I even flunked on my surf… a sign that it was time to chill. 

Naja did some nice tries on the kicker and the slider .. and one or two ugly slams that I care not to document as they looked and probably felt rather painful. 

Davor learned to ride switch and we were all happy not to have wasted the day at home sleeping off our hangovers XD Hell in the end I was so tired I even slept trough customs on our way back! We also had a nice pitstop in Logatec before finally returning to Ljubljana 😛

In the end even Stubai Pia surpirsed me with a nice trinket for the coming October MOREBOARDS Stubai Opening 🙂 Free party tickets 🙂 All I can say is I love Stubai 😛 !!!
