JETSURF, Wakeskates and other mischief

Since summer is in full effect around Ljubljana and the temperatures were a killer I had to get out again for the weekend. Quickly decided…   Blaz Povše from the KILASKUTE bike club an I threw our stuff into my trusted vaxhaul-opel vectra caravan XD and headed out to the one and only island this year for now… you guessed it… KRK. We stayed in Njivice at Blažes place and spent most of the time at the wake lift.

When we arrived late on friday.. the sea was flat … no annying little waves.. just flat. Most of our friends (Naja, Rok, Robert,  Jan, Tiana) were already there or on their way, so we head out into the water and I FINALLY got to wakeskate. The thing I craved for two weeks prior. And it went quite well, thou I have to addmit that I`m still not very fond of the lift start. Tried some spining and subsequently crashing into the water 😛 fun times !!!
As it didn`t stay that flat for the rest of the weekend our sessions usually started late around 8pm and lasted till like 9.15-9.30 depending on how long the lift kept running. We had time to chill and prepare Rok for his boat operator licence that he passed with flying colors… kinda XD (R is for Romeo and J is for Juliette). Robert Pokovec and Jan Kralj showed us some nice stuff and Jan even took Tiana out on the surfboard… suffice to say there little ménage with the wavesurf geisha lasted only till the second turn XD… should have filmed that… hilarious XD Povše did a lot of wake skate but ultimately couldn`t stay away from the wake board landing some nice spins as a first *forgot what trick it was XD* Still I did make a few pics of the action so check them out and don`t bail on the jet surf below 🙂

Something fresh is going on here 😛 guess what XD

J: That was awsome lets do it again !
R: Sure !

JET SURF
Another toy we played with was a new gimmick called a JET SURF. Think of it as kind of a floating surf like body with a little hydrojet capable of around 50 km/h when the water is ideally flat. Supposedly invented by a Slovenian dude with a Hungarian hydrojet engine 😛 You can find out more on this water vehicle here. Looked like a fun thing with the little exception that you are going to need some technical know-how if the engine eats to much air XD.

Of course we also partied XD lets just say: Kette thanks for the “bovla” and the čevapčiči XD
